Toyota Highlander Towing Capacity
The Toyota Highlander can tow up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped. With this capability, you’ll be able to hitch up your trailer and bring along your equipment with ease.

The gas engine comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and can be configured into either Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) or All-Wheel Drive (AWD). On some higher trim levels, Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD is available for even more power.
The hybrid engine comes paired with an electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT). With it, you’ll get the standard Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive (AWD).

The interior of the Highlander is pretty great as well. With upgraded technology to keep you entertained, you’ll want to make note of what’s available.
For all of your listening needs, both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ come standard and you’ll also have access to Amazon Alexa. If you’ll be traveling a lot, then you’ll appreciate the available Dynamic Navigation system that will keep you informed as you drive along your predetermined route.
Another interesting tech feature is available Qi-compatible wireless charging. Positioned within the center console, you’ll easily be able to charge your phone without the need for bringing along your charger.
