Build a Strong List of Contenders

If you want to buy a used car, then it’s important to build a list of some key contenders. Perhaps you’ve driven a certain model before and could see yourself driving it again. Or maybe you’ve talked to a neighbor who said they really love a certain make and model. At our Toyota dealership, we have a large selection of pre-owned models, like the Camry, the Corolla, the Highlander, and the RAV4, but we also have cars from other well-known manufacturers.

It’s good to have a list in mind because it can help you narrow down your options when it comes time to take a test drive or two.

You might even create a list that has both sedans and SUVs if you’re considering different automotive body styles.

Check Out the Vehicle History

You may not be the first driver of the car you’re looking at, but you’ll know a lot about it. Thanks to the CARFAX® Vehicle History Report™, you’ll have a better idea of where the car has been and if it should remain on your list. Be sure the vehicle identification number (VIN) matches the one on the report, so you can get the most accurate details.  

The report includes:

• Information about previous owners
• When and where the car has been serviced
• Accident information

This report helps ensure you’ll be a more informed and prepared driver.

Make Time for the Test Drive

Our online inventory lets you take a closer look at vehicles from the comfort of home. Of course, this research doesn’t replace the importance of the test drive. That’s still the best way to get a feel for the vehicle as you test the wheel position, noting where the radio dial is located and how the seats feel, and all those other important characteristics.

When you’re ready for the test drive, we’ll schedule one for you. Not only will you take a test drive of the vehicle, but we’ll also provide a full tour of the interior and answer any questions you might have about the infotainment or tech features.
